It is a long way from anywhere, held sacred in Mizo tradition as the home of spirits, and the finest high-altitude landscape in the state. Lawngtlai district, 2,157 m (7,077 ft) — the highest point in Mizoram. approx. 300 km south (2 days by road, with an overnight halt). Suggested stay: 2–3 days from the nearest base.
